Jensen vm9314 unlock code

You need a scan tool, or you can disconnect your battery, but disconnecting your battery can lock your stereo if it is the factory stereo. If you don't have the code to your stereo, a $50.00 scan tool at AutoZone is cheaper than paying the dealer to unlock your stereo.

is the radio locked ? has the battery been disconnected recently ? you will need unlock code if this is the case

Your remote may be faulty.
I would either take it to an autozone and check it is working there ( they have an infrared remote check on their keyless remote battery center that will show the IR signal being sent).
OR
you can point it at almost any of the security cameras in production and view the 'IR flashlight' on the video screen/ monitor.

If the remote is in fact not producing a light , I will assume the unit needs replacement batterys or remote.

Alternately , you can disassemble the remote and check the IR emitter with an Ohm/Volt meter.
should the signal be present on the meter and yet no 'light' is being emitted , then replace the emitter with a new one (avail. at radio shack...)

If the remote does emit a signal , chances are the reciever is bad.

My Jensen came with two remotes... did you try the other one ?

It can probably be repaired, but you will more than likely have to send it to Audiovox to get it repaired. Audiovox owns Jensen. You can get a hold of them at audiovox.com.

Try connecting the PINK wire of your head unit to a ground/chassis of your car. That should solve your problem. happy viewing but drive safely. dreamsystems

your stereo is locked. your battery drained and clock memory was lost to radio. a simple fix can be found on this forum but they charge 4.99 or so to help. they dealer will cost 50 + so 5 bucks is worthit.

i am sorry you had to go threw this. positive side you will have the code so it will not be a problem in the future for you.

they radios of modern cars employ so called anti theft mechanisms, but in reality they are designed to cost us money to get things working normal again. this is by the way the only device on your car that is lockable by the power failure

good luck with it. and a little tip: they sell a 9 volt battery maintainer used by professional stereo installers to keep clock memory voltage on the radio so this doesn't happen when you need to disconnect your battery again. i would highly suggest getting one. they are fairly cheap and will prvent you from having any major issues in the future when you need to replace or disconnect your cars battery again.

when the live is disconnected the stereo locks itself to unlock it you need the code which is usually a four digit number code look if its in the cars hand books if not a mazda main dealer will be able to get the code for you or i use a local radio code man than charges £10 so depending on how much it costs from a mazda dealer you may be as well buying a second hand cd player and putting that in

was the unit new or was it a demo? if it was new in a box I would take it back to where you purchased it from and exchange it. some decks the code can be reset such as the case you bought a used car ect., and others you need to replace the code IC in either case you will need to contact jensen custmer service or get the technical schmatic.
