If the battery wont charge the item will need a service engineer to test it. I am not sure of the particular model but there is a possibility that either the charger itself is at fault OR the charging circuit has either a diode or capacitor damaged.
If the charger plugs into a 240v socket in the house have the charger checked to show voltage is being output by it.
If it is then how old is the battery on the scooter? does it need replacing? have a voltage test done.
If both the battery and wall charger if there is one is OK then I would say another part of the vehicles circuitry made be at fault and suggest you have it looked at. .
It could be a battery connection, or maybe your key switch?
Or a connection problem between batteries and the motor controller
or the free wheel switch is on.
following the instructions below for a external charger
1. the charger cannot see the battery voltage, this could be because a fues on the scooter has blown. the charger socket is damaged. 2. the Batteries never fully charge because they are damaged. 3. the charger itself has a fault.
I believe that scooter has the charge fuse locate on the tiller column, Follow the instructions below for a built in charger, if that the case check the fuse on the battery leads,
Otherwise in my experience the batteries cannot be fully charged because they have a fault
Hi. On these machines, the charger socket is at the top of the tiller on the left hand side. It probably has a black rubber cover over the socket. Pull the rubber cover out of the socket and plug in your charger.
Charge your batteries over night after each use.
Neil.
The Sonic has an off board charger. IF the scooter is not charging, you may need to replace it. If you a technically inclined, you can measure the voltage out of the charger, it should be more than 28 V. You may need to contact Pride for more help.
