Lost password for Pioneer AVICF910BT and want to reset

Do a hard reset on the receiver to see if you can get it to work. Or contact Pioneer and ask for a hidden code to restore the unit to factory defaults. If nothing works you are SOL

What exactly do you need the cd for? If you set it up and cant remember how to access it, lost password etc, I would suggest resetting it to factory defaults by holding the reset button in for 10-15 seconds. After the reset, access it using a wireless connection (it should be called ciscoxxxx where the "x"s are numbers) and it should prompt you to go through the auto setup process again. If it asks for a password, the default password for the wifi should be on the bottom of the router. Rather than the password or key, it may ask for an 8 digit pin number also found on the bottom of the router.

Can anyone provide the default password to this system

Go to www.garmin.com and if you've registered your satnav log into myGarmin.
Click on the myMaps tab at the top of the page.
There you will see the maps on your satnav and you'll have the option to buy new maps.
When you're downloading the map be sure to download it to your computer and NOT your satnav. Otherwise you'll overwrite the map already on the satnav.

When it's downloaded click the windows START button and you'll find a folder called GARMIN. Click this and you'll find an item called MAPINSTALL. Use this to install the map to an SD card which you must have inserted into your satnav. It's best to use a 2Gb SD card not an SDHC. Again be sure you do not install the map to your satnav but to the memory card. You get the option of where the map will be installed during the set up process.

If you have not registered your satnav you can do so by going to www.garmin.com. Click on the drop-down arrow and select your country. Click on myGarmin and then on REGISTER YOUR GARMIN DEVICE. You'll be asked to create a username and password. Keep them safe as you'll need them anytime you need to update your maps or buy new ones.

To reset your ONE XL, use a straightened paper clip, or something similar, to push the reset button. The reset button is next to the memory card slot, on the bottom of your ONE XL. Then turn your ONE XL on it will be back to it's factory settings.

Unfortunately, even if you perform master reset on Garmin GPS unit, it does not reset Garmin Lock security feature, which password-protect most Garmin electronic devices to deter theft. If you forget the PIN or password unlock code to unlock the Garmin unit, the best solution is to bring it to Garmin to get unlocked. “Secure Location” does not unlock a locked Garmin unit either as it’s only a temporary fix as when it’s turn on outside the security location, the device is locked again."

So unfortunately, there is only one option: You have to send your nüvi into the Garmin, who can unlock it. Remember original receipt.

I contacted Sharp Tech support who told me to:

Touch the reset button on the back of the unit. The display will show "RESET?"

Touch the 2nd tab on the front of the unit.

Touch ENTER

This will reset the unit to factory settings. All information will be lost, but you will be able to use the unit again. I did this and it worked beautifully.

All you need to do is ask him where he was when he entered the password. Go to that location and power up the unit. It won't ask you for the password when you are at the location that it was entered. If you don't know the location, you will need to send the unit back to Garmon to be reset.

Secure mode is the anti theft function. Since you do not know what that is It suggests that you do not know the password. If that is the case then it seems like the unit is or has been stolen at one time. If you do not know the password then you have to bring the unit to a authorized Pioneer service center to have it reset. If the backup up sense wire is cut, or the system is disconnected from the vehicle, or if the reset button is pushed then the unit will ask for a password the next time it fires up.
