Set up printing from my ipad

First of all, you must be sure to have a compatible printer. It also must be wireless compatible. Once you have that out of the way, you must have the iPad and the printer in the same network. Now, whatever you want to print just tap the square with the arrow in the middle and then tap print.

I want to use my iPad through my router to my HP printer what do I need to do to get it to print

It's not quite that easy, it's a compatibility issue. If your HP printer has Air Print compatibility, you can use Air Print, if not, Download, in the iPad app store ,a free app for HP printing. Follow instructions

How can I get my IPad 2 to print on a Lexmark Prospect Pro 205, without keeping my laptop wired to the printer? I do not have a desktop.

Your printer and the devices trying to print from it should be connected to the same network. If it is, download our LexPrint app to your iPad http://bit.ly/IMbDlq. Since the Lexmark Pro205 is not AirPrint compatible, you would need the LexPrint Listener installed to a host computer.

Our latest Inkjet printers are already compatible with AirPrint.

Compatible with apple iPad?

To print from an iPad you will need to either have a printer that is compatible with Apple's Airprint or have an app that allows you to print through your network.

The printers that are compatible with Airprint are listed at the bottom of this page:

http://www.apple.com/ipad/features/airprint.html

To print through your network without an Airport compatible printer you will need an app like PrintCentral.  The app and instructions can be found here:

Can not print with canon mx 870 using a ipad

The airprint system is not yet compatible with all printers. Were you told that you could print to this printer from your iPad?
There is a piece of software for Macs that allows any printer to print from an iPad or iPhone 4 called Printopia 2. I've been using it to print to an Epson A3 printer and a Canon A4.
