SOURCE: Jenn-Air Gas Cooktop Model CVGX2423

Just had this problem today on our seven or eight year old Jenn-Air cooktop. When using the front right burner all ignitors would continue to fire until I turned off the burner. The three other burners worked correctly. After trying all the obvious soulutions w/o success I pulled off that burners control knob and the rubber seal which exposed the valve. Their was a bunch of crud in there. I put a small (one inch) paint brush in there and vigorusly loosened all the crud. I then inserted the nozzle of our central vac - which just happened to fit perfectly - and sucked all the stuff out. I repeated the proceedure a couple more times, reassembled the knob and started the burner. Worked just perfectly!!! YMMV. Good luck.

I am trying to repace the bake element in my jennaire electrical stove. There is a wire coming into the side of the connector. Does that wire simply pull out. I cannot understand how it connects. Thanks

If you are talking about the terminals of the oven element, the wire coming in is connected to the spade connector. The spade connector slides off the oven spade terminal.

I need an installation manual for a cvg4380p Jenn-Air cooktop

Hello Chuck,

Your request is for the Jenn-Air CVG-4280P gas cooktop installation instructions, even though the info at the top of the page states a JED8430 electric cooktop,

If I've got your request correct, here's a link to the installation instructions for the CVG-4280P cooktop.

http://shared.whirlpoolcorp.com/assets/pdfs/literature/CVG4380PII.pdf

If you'd also like the owner's manual for that same cooktop, here's the link for that too:

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
Merry Christmas!

How to start the self-cleaning cycle in jenn-air sce30600?

An electric cooktop uses a great deal more electrical energy than a gas cooktop. The electric portion of the gas cooktop runs the electronics (clock, timer, ignitor, oven light, etc.), and these are small electrical loads. An electric cooktop uses more electrical energy cooking a batch of, say, pasta sauce, than a gas cooktop would normally use in a month or two. There just isn't a good comparison as there is such a broad difference in the electrical usage of the two units.

JENN AIR WALL OVEN ELECTRIC

Are you sure the breaker didn't trip on one side? If one leg of the 220 is out, the lights and controls will appear to work, but the elements will not heat up. Make sure you have 220 to the appliance. It's also possible that you pulled a wire off somehow when changing the broil element.

Jenn-Air Expressions cvgx2423b manual request

I have the same model with the same problem. The replacement is simple. Remove the burner cap (no tools needed) Take a large crescent wrench and remove the large center nut holding the burner assembly in place. The ignitor will slide out of the assembly once it is removed. Good luck
