What Thanksgiving Gifts to My Parents?

Thanksgiving Day is coming, but I still don't decide to what to buy. As I' m working far away from home. I can't accompany with them, so I want to give them a suprise. The gifts must be warm and they need. Do you have good ideas to share with me?

Most people celebrate this holiday with family and friends at home, but if you cannot visit your family or friends who live far away, you can send them a Thanksgiving gift to show you care. Send thanksgiving flowers from http://www.moysesflowers.co.uk/

Whatever the holiday season, be it Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving or an anniversary, it can be hard to find the perfect gift for parents. They seem to have everything. If you're struggling to find the present for your parents.

Send your "Mother" or family member who's hosting Thanksgiving a nice Autumn colored or styled frame with a picture of you or you and your family along with a candle. Nothing to large; a small pillar or votive candle in a nice Autumn colored holder (to match the frame). Include a card and write something nice in your own words....(but here's some help if you need some ideas) ....Write about your dearest sentiments on how you wish you were there to be with all the family this Thanksgiving, but since you can't be there in person... you're sending a picture of you or you and your family to set on or near the dinner table with a candle to sit next to it. The flame on the candle is to keep the warmth of love from your home to theirs on this Thanksgiving holiday. (This works good for Christmas too - only with the frame and candle in a Christmas theme)

Party Supplies - Making a Basic List

If you are planning a party, don't get overwhelmed if you don't know what kind of supplies to buy.
Follow my advice and you can make a great party without overspending on supplies.

1. Decide what kind of party you want to have. Make a list of the people you want to invite and make sure you have a venue that is suitable for that number.

2. Don't get carried away! sometimes the best parties are the ones that are more personal and not huge.

3. Do you want to have a theme? Sometimes a theme can help you focus on the food and decorations. But even if you pick a theme you don't have to go crazy. A few small decorations and clever ideas can go a long way.

4. Write a menu. Include foods that can be prepared in advance and frozen and avoid fiddly dishes that will take a lot of preparation time on the day.

5. Make a list of supplies that you needs such as plates, napkins etc and stick to it when you go showing. A lot of expense can be saved if you don't shop impulsively.

6. When you decorate, ask friends if they have anything suitable to lend/ give you. It's a shame to buy if there are spare items going to waste.

7. Most importantly - enjoy!! parties are all about fun. keep it stress free and low key and then you'll be able to enjoy your own party.

Pictures saving to internal memory instead of memory card

The camera can use up to a 2gb SD card as well as the Fuji proprietary card. Those should be readily available almost anywhere. If you are not in a big hurry you can buy 'em all day on Ebay & probably buy the proprietary XD card there as well.

When I take pictures at night or in the house when it's darker they don't come out clear or bright. I've tried changing the settings and used the flash. I would appreciate you help. Thanks

Most of the present day personal cameras cannot have a good flash output and so the THROW of light is limited, So when it is used for night shots try and use the flash as close as possible to the SUBJECT as the flash will not COVER THE SUBJECT if FAR away.
This can be the reason for the poor shots. Also try to manually set the camera for higher sensitivity .Use of a SLAVE flash will improve your shots. You can buy this as an accessory.

Dropped camera now it says lens error restart camera tried that didn't work took out batteries now all it does is day to put in new date stuff but it wont let me do that either.

Your camera almost certainly has a lens error, this is such a common fault that I hope you don't mind me pasting my stock generic answer below. No point in reinventing the wheel!

Stuck lenses are probably the most common reason that compact digital cameras get thrown away, but there's a fair chance of recovering use of your camera again

The fault is commonly caused by dirt or grit blocking the mechanism, or due to it having suffered a recent fall. Another common cause is that the camera was in a pocket or bag and the power button accidentally activated and tried to open the lens against resistance. The mechanism may have simply become dislodged or there may be parts which have broken.

If your camera is still under warranty and has definitely not been subject to misuse then contact the Canon service department in your country to find out about a free repair. If the warranty has expired though a professional repair will far exceed the cost of replacing your camera. You will therefore have nothing to lose by trying to fix this yourself.

Please click here and you will be taken to an excellent article provided by the Camera Repair website. For the most part, you'll be guided on how to physically manipulate your camera to try and clear the fault. Although the article mentions Canon a few times, the advice applies equally to all cameras with lens errors and is not model-specific.

If the link doesn't work then cut and paste the following address into your browser:-

Good luck, I hope you manage to use this information to fix your camera, or at least are able to use the information to help decide whether to buy another camera. If you do decide that you have to throw your camera away then don't forget to remove the memory card as it can be used in other devices. Please take a moment to rate the free answer I have provided for you and any testimonial which you might wish to add is always welcome.

Hi, I have a Fujifilm digital finepix A340 and I was using a 128MB memory card; then I decided to buy a new memory card for 2GB and then the camara does not read the memory card. What do I need to do?...

I can't find mention of a maximum storage capacity for memory cards for this camera but, given that it only has a 16mb card provided then it is highly unlikely that a 2 GB card will work. I have had this problem with a Nikon camera - tried using a 4GB card when it could only handle a max of 2GB. But don't throw away the 2Gb - it might come in handy if you decide to upgrade to a digital SLR at some stage. If you do that make sure you know what cards it will take.
