Our GE dishwasher gets about halfway through its wash cycle then stops. Sometimes it will start up again and finish, almost like an internal circuit breaker had reset.
It is completely unresponsive, no matter where the dial is set. Water is standing in the bottom.
Model is a GE GSDL112F01WW.
If the water level is too high the water level shut off switch could have cut the unit off. If the unit was moved, it's possible the wire nuts came loose in the junction box of the d/w.
The dishwasher should heat the water to about 50 C as the cycle calls for it. In the cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water and waiting for the water to reach the temperature. In its like the water isn't being heated may be due to a problem with the heating element or thermostat, after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it not continue or continue later.
Another possible is that the timer unit may be defective

Please check the motor or the wiring connection of the motor.
if the wires are proper the motor could be faulty.or the motor could be at the end of its life.
The cycle doesn't complete
If the cycle doesn't complete, check these:
Water-heating cycle
Timer
Water-heating cycle
Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next, depends, as follows:
Timer
Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it.
TRY TO UNPLUG THE UNIT FOR AN HOUR TO RESET THE ONLOAD SETTING THAT PROGRAMMED INTO IT..
