Refrigerator is GE Model#GSL25JFPA BS-Serial# LF252067 The water feed line to the water dispensor on the outside door is freezing up after years of trouble free operation. The line is coiled up at the bottom of the right hand side of the refrigerator and has busted twice from freezing. I repaired it both times. How can I eliminate this problem. Thank you TED

Mark I replied to your response but the system failed to deliver. Here we go again.
The thermostat for refrig is set on 4, don't know where the controls for the air damper are located. prior to the water line freezing It was set at 5. I turned it back to 4 after the tubing froze and burst the first time. this did not help. I vacuumed and blew out the condensor coil as you suggested. It was dirty but I've seen much worse. Is there any type of heater involved. Takes a while for it to freeze up again so what else can I try or look for. Where are the air damper controls located.

To follow up on what I'd posted last evening, the settings in the fridge should be ideally at 3 for most climates, though often it is suggested to be at 4, 3 is much more efficient and adequate for most refrigerated items.

I have the same fridge and often find (especially on warmer days) the water line can freeze if the dial gets adjusted to 4 or higher.

In order for me to provide more detail to this solution I would need access to a proper dialogue box, which by default is gone since you placed a rating on my solution...I never intended for my prior post to be the "end" of the solution I was hoping to provide, but more of a step in a process in working with you.

If you can reply and possibly let me know in what manner you used to "clean" the condensor as these shaped like a cylinder are difficult to clean and insure the condensor fan itself is functioning as well. It may take some time for the water line to thaw, but I'd suggest turning both dials (they should be beside each other) to around 3 but not higher than 4.

The dail to your left should be the damper control (identified as freezer) while the one on the right is the actual thermostat (labeled fridge).

I'll await your reply in hopes of helping you move forward.
