I have seen a couple of different things cause this... Are the fuel lines hooked up and not split and fuel filter routed right in tank.(hanging freely touching bottom of tank lying flat) next if your carb has adj. screws H &L I have seen when the H is cranked snug (lean) that primer won't work right. Last but not least your Needle inlet valve is stuck shut and or the fuel pump diaphram little tabs are not sealing off chambers in carb on fuel pump side. make sure your fuel lines are properly hooked up to the right spots. when you push primer bulb it should squirt gas into the fuel tank, then when you release it ,it should draw fuel from the tank through the filter and thru the carb and then out to tank.

Primer bulb not pumping fuel into carb, pull it out, no splits etc. Once I get fuel in it starts and runs fine??

Probably a valve in the priming system is stuck. It allows fuel to flow into the bulb from the tank, the valve should close then and allow the bulb pressure to spray into the carburetor. Could also be the opening into the carburetor from the prime bulb is blocked.

Ryobi brushcutter runs good on full tank gas but at a half a tank it starts spitting and sputtering...why

CK for split fuel lines. You can ck when fuel is low by trying to prime with bulb, if you see air bubbles in line , split line in tank.

I have a 124l e-tech trimmer and the prime bubble wont fill

Sounds like you have an air leak. Either in the primer bulb is split or punctured, hole or leaking fuel line or primer bulb base, and is sucking air instead of fuel.

Priming bulb failing to pull fuel from tank. Pumping bulb makes bubbles in tank. I can prime motor by pumping bulb when unit is tilted on the bulb side. Once put upright, it burns gas in bulb and dies....

hi there clubgy

sounds like you need to go through the carby and rekit it , make sure all the passages are clear and replace the welch plugs and check passages under them too and replace the purge prime valve assy that the primer bulb and flange connect to as you mentioned pick up and return lines are ok with no cracks or splits , make sure the tank breather is ok as well as the tank filter not blocked / restrictred thats about all i can think of

take a look and let me know

Pushing priming bulb repeatetly, unit will not prime and subsequently saw will not start.

Possible hoses split or cracked, fuel filter in the tank blocked, or an internal blockage in the carb screen under the pump cover.
