I have a Remington 16" electric chainsaw and I have the same problem. It is VERY hard to line up the chain adjuster (I guess that's what it is called. The thing that has a TINY protrusion to go in a hole and then you turn the handle and TRY to tighten the chain) with the hole in the blade (?). Once you do get it alligned and cut for just a little while the chain comes off. I think I have it tightened right, there is a very small amount of slack in the chain. Works fine for about 5 minutes if you are lucky and then the chain comes off and you have to start all over again. Am I missing something? Is there some very simple easy way to get the adjuster lined up with the blade (I guess that's what it's called) so you can tighten the chain and then a very simple way to keep the chain from continually coming off?
