The cartridge is stalled at the right side. There is no paper jam. There are no print jobs in the que. I have unplugged and turned back on (more than once.) Also, I noticed somewhat of a mess at the cartrigde "station" on the right side. (I assume cleaning station.) I thought I removed the plastic covering, if I didn't what is solution?
The carriage remain stuck on the lift side, probably cause by gear misalignment .Open the cover try to tapped the carriege or try to look cause the stuck up.Are you using compatible cartridges? If so have you removed any tape that covers the vent hole if required. Many compatibles need to have a piece of tape removed. If you forget the ink cant get out as the air can't get in.
If it not a piece of tape and there are no flashing lights it could be that the nozzles are blocked or the wick has dried out.
You can do a manual cleaning using some kitchen paper and a little solvent and a small plastic bag.
The first thing we need to do is get the head away from its parking position. Switch on the machine and when the head has moved away from its park position, remove the power lead.
With the top of the machine open, you should be able to move the print head carriage by hand.
Look to the right where the head carriage is normally parked and you should see the pump cap area. It will be a black looking spongy pad covered in ink.
Now take a piece of kitchen paper and fold it over a couple times to make a pad approx 3"x1". Now lay this pad over the top of the pump cap and fold the left edge down toward the base of the machine as in image one (the tissue is the yellow bit in the image)
Now take a syringe or similar and put some solvent into it. The solvent I use is JR ink jet Cartridge flush as seen on ebay and the like. If you have any ammoniated window cleaner like Windex you can use this. Put the solvent onto the tissue making it quite damp, but not totally soaked.
Manually move the print head GENTLY back to its park position. The pump cap will try to raise up to meet the bottom of the print head as you move it back. Be careful no to force it or you may break something.
What we are trying to do is bring the solvent dampened pad into contact with the print head. Once located, leave the pad for 5 or 10 minutes whilst the solvent does its trick.
Now move the head away from park - again being gentle. You should now see the pad is a horrible black lump of mush. Pick it out and put it in the plastic bag ? where a glove or use tweezers or pliers.
Repeat the process again but this time let it to soak for just about 1 minute. You should now see the individual ink colours soaking into the pad. If the pad is still black, repeat the process a couple more times.
Once you have some evidence of the individual colours you can run a head clean via the driver or printer control panel.
Then print a nozzle check sheet and if all has gone according to plan you should have a full complement of lines.
This method is applicable ONLY for loss of a few lines on the nozzle check sheet. If you have loss of all the lines in a single or multiple colours, you need to investigate further. It is possible that the pump has failed, the pipes are clogged or something else is causing the problem.
If that does not sort it out, tru using a syringe to put a couple of drops of solvent onto the wick. Its the black plastic spike that stick up and goes into the bottom of the ink cart when it is installed. Put a cupole of drops in, put the cart back in and leave it fpr about 10 minutes. The re-try a head clean using the driver/status monitor.
There is another possibilty after this which relates to a hardware problem but this generaly causes a loss of all ink.
Hope this may help;

Dear Sir/Madam,
Open the top cover and unplug the power cord. Wait for the
Resume and Power lights to go off. Close the top cover and
plug in the power cord. Wait for the printer to reinitialize and
resend the print job.
Or remove the ink cartridge first, unplugged the power cord of the printer then try cleaning the waste drainer of the printer.
if the ink absorber is too full.. try change it with a cotton like material or use something like the original..
Its the problem of gears in your printer as they are not able to move frequently and so not able to bring the printer in proper position as it should be.it could be because of three reasons.
1)due to some kind of blockage or dust in them. so just open the printer and clean them.
2)due to some kind of misallignment they have lost there there position so open the printer and adjust them properly apply some greece material between the gears.please take care the greece material should not be applied any where else the gears .
3)due to the gears are broken or worn out so you have to replace the gear assembly.thats quiet difficult but the assembly is not very cheap not more then 10$.
opening the printer is not very difficult as there there r four screws two in the front and two in the back just remove them and lift the upper cover slowly.and then have a look in the printer and check if any thing is broken or any piece of paper or any other object is blocking the gears.they r present on both right and left sides so check both sides. do everything slowly and carefully.
just OFF the printer and remove the power adpator wire from the back of the printer and just lift the cover of the printer and you can see the black colour rubber belt in the printer the carriage of the cartridges moves on that belt slowly with the help of the hands pull the belt towards right side .do not pull the belt towards you just try to pull it towards the right side .slowly----slowly bring the cartridges to the center by pulling the belt.and remove both the cartridges.then just connect the wire of the printer and ON the printer and then install the cartridges as per the procedure as u regularly do when you install.and then it will work.if the power light/resume is blinking continusly then either the cartridge is not fitted properly or any of the two cartridges must be faulty.try replacing them 1 by 1.it will work.

Remove the cartridge first... try to plug it again carefully by following the instructions given on the manual of your printer... everything will be fine..
Yes, you may need to take the printer apart to clean everything and also to make sure all part are still fine...
You really need to take the printer apart so you can check also all parts of it and also to check if there's any foreign obejct inside it that is causing this problem...
OK no problem just inform us for any update on what happen if the problem was resolve or not, good luck...
This user manual will be helpful to you in taking the printer apart http://eit.tamu.edu/CostShareArchive/fal...

So what do I do now? Take the printer apart???
Before I embark on what (for me) will be major undertaking, are you certain there is not a way to get the cartridge to return to the left side so I can remove the cartridge?
Again, the cartridge is STUCK over on the left side. I cannot get to the cartridge (without, I assume taking something apart).
Sorry, my the CARRIAGE is stalled at LEFT SIDE, not the right side.
The carriage stalled at the LEFT side after I replaced the color cartridge. Apparently, but not absolute certain, I may have left the plastic cover on the cartridge. I cannot get to the ink cartridge to remove it. I noticed there is moisture at the right side where the cartrdiges set when you replace them. Both the Resume and Power buttons are blinking. How do I get the carriage to return to the right side? There is no paper jam.
I will try taking it apart.
Sorry, but I give up. I cannot see even how to remove the top. I am going to search the internet to see if I can find detailed instructions on how to take the printer apart. I DO NOT ACCEPT ANY OFFERED SOLUTIONS AT THIS TIME.
