Refer to owners manual ! Blinking indicates the type of fault that is occuring on all your tv sets. example : power light on red - indicator light beside it green but blinks rapidly for half a second rapidly then shuts off. This refers to a faulty lamp or a lamp that is near its expiration. Read your manuals if indicators refer to easy repair sweet, but if it says call tech then bummer...

Either the pins on the convergence ICs need to be resoldered or the ICs need to be replaced. These are large black ICs attached to a heat sink and should be marked STKxxx. Resolder first. If that does not resolve it, replace the ICs.

Hitachi has had problems with their light engines. Very expensive. Contact Hitachi as they may give you consideration even if this is out of warranty.

did the mirror just crack or did it fall forward into the inside of the screens?
I know it cracked but unsure if any pieces fell. I have only been able to look in behind the screen, but have not removed the entire housing. Wasn't sure how difficult it would be to change the mirror myself or do I need a TV technician.
