When you view the pictures you should have an option to choose or check off which photos you want to download.
Try opening your disc where the photos are from your File Manager on your computer.
Go to your lower left corner and right click your mouse on Start and open Windows Explorer.
then look at your drives of your computer on the left side of the screen
You should see C drive and search for the photos or open the folder with the photos and whichever drive you have your photo disc in.
When you click on this drive your computer may ask "would you like to view the photos with MS photo viewer or something similar.
View the photos first, they will open all at once. You should have a spot to click in and put a check mark to download ONLY those photos from the disc to the laptop.
Give that a try. Of course if it states "would you like to download all the pictures, click NO if available.
Usually the camera is supposed to come with an installation disc. Run this disc on your PC and after running it use the data cable which came with the camera and connect it to the pc once this is done the PC should recognise the camera and give you directions on how to copy the pictures. On the other hand if no disc came with the device and the camera is not a plug and play unit you can visit the canon website to download a driver for the unit. hope this solution has been helpful?
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.
The software CD would not help you unless you have a very old OS. Your best option is to invest ($10 - $15, sometimes less) in a CF card reader with a USB connector. If you have Windows XP or newer, or any version of Mac OS X, your computer will see the card reader (and your card) as a separate drive, and you will be able to download the pictures right off the card.
Hi, Connect the camera to your computer with the USB cable. Wait for the operating system to detect the camera. Double
click on Computer or My Computer. In the list of drives you should see
"Removable Devices". Double click on that/them and copy the files to
the computer.
If the computer does not see the card (removable
device) then check that it's inserted properly in the camera and that
the write protect switch is in the off position.
Failing that if
you purchase a card reader you can take the camera card out and put it
in the card reader and connect it directly to a USB port on the
computer to transfer your flies.
dont need a disc, just plug in your camera via usb or memory card, turn power on camera, click ok for computer transfer on the camera,if nothing happens, go to my cmputer find the removable device thats new in your computer, right click on it,click open, then double click on dcim, next double click on sscam.your picture should start to appear.good luck.hope i helped
If you are using Windows XP unplug your camera from your PC and uninstall the Kodak software. You don't need it to transfer photos to your PC. The next time you connect your camera (turn the camera on) to your computer it should recognize it and you can use Windows built in transfer software. Hi,
connect the cam and PC using 4 pin firewire cable.
Switch on the cam.
Open Windows Movie Maker and import the video from device.
You can then use Move Maker to any disc burning software like Nero to create the movie disks.
