My Microsft Wireless Comfort Keyboard 4000 is not registering letters when the key is struck. New Batteries installed. Completely random and frequent.

if you are using it with a laptop, they have issues where the USB port can not power the reciever. If that is the case, i would recommend a powered USB hub. Otherwise, completely remove all of the software, take out all of the batteries, reboot the PC, install the software again and repair the devices.

Microsoft wireless keyboard 4000 - The upper keys not working

A microsoft update, or a system rollback may have changed the drivers, or unregistered the buttons from the associated profile..

If the keyboard came with drivers, or software, you will more than likely need to re-install them.
