Wireless sony surround sound

I have a sony 52" LCD TV and Purchased a Sony Home Theater System W/wireless back Speakers and reciever/amplifier. I can connect the surround sound, pair it and connect to the DVD system. But! When I go to TV I loose connection and only have the wired speakers functioning. How can I get full surround sound with the . I have Direct TV as my provider, That should not pose a problem that I know of unless I need a connection other than the digital optical connection from the DVD/multimedia interface to the DIrect TV signal Box. Please help.

SOURCE: I want to connect the

Hi,here is my simple solution...
If you want to listen your TV on your Stereo system thru your receiver,
** you need to connect "Audio Output " RCA jacks or "Optic cable output" of your TV
** to "AUX input " or "TV" OR "Any input" of your receiver ( except Phone ) or "Optic Cable input"
** than just switch to respective mode on RECEIVER corresponding your RCA or Optic connection...
There you go..Your TV sound is on the Receiver..By this means whatever you watch on the
TV (
tuner, satellite , Xbox ) ,it's sound will come thru your stereo..

Hope this helps!
Take care and please

Need to know is there is a input on the back of the sony davdx255 for the tv to recieve surround sound.

Does a TV NEED surround sound if you have a surround sound HIFI? Normal setero sound would probably suffice as the TV might not actually have electroics or speakers to do anything but mic\x it down to lo-fi stereo.

Correlary: You COULD just drag regular RCA audio out of your cable box to the TV if you want to watch the news or talk shows.

Sony hdx279w surround

Hi,
Your system should come with all the cables and connectors you need for the system. The rear speakers should plug directly into the back of the system using the speaker connectors that came with your system. If you are trying to add additional speakers then you need special connectors for that type of application. You can try www.BogueEngineering.com for special connectors. Hope that helps
