I have a sony 52" LCD TV and Purchased a Sony Home Theater System W/wireless back Speakers and reciever/amplifier. I can connect the surround sound, pair it and connect to the DVD system. But! When I go to TV I loose connection and only have the wired speakers functioning. How can I get full surround sound with the . I have Direct TV as my provider, That should not pose a problem that I know of unless I need a connection other than the digital optical connection from the DVD/multimedia interface to the DIrect TV signal Box. Please help.

Hi,here is my simple solution...
If
you want to listen your TV on your Stereo system thru your receiver,
** you need to connect "Audio Output " RCA jacks or "Optic cable output" of your TV
** to "AUX input "
or "TV" OR "Any input" of your receiver ( except Phone ) or "Optic Cable input"
** than just switch to
respective mode on RECEIVER corresponding your RCA or Optic connection...
There you go..Your TV sound is on the Receiver..By this means whatever you watch on the
TV (tuner, satellite , Xbox ) ,it's sound will come thru your stereo..
