I want to upgrade my intel celeron processor 1.8 ghz but wats the cheapest with performance and then the most expensive with performance

check with your motherboard book and see what processors it will except because it all depends on the chipset- usually the cost involved dosen't show much of a performance gain-- have you upgraded the RAM? that a big gain you will notice!

I have pentinum4 intel(R) celeron processor 1.3 GHZ processor. I want to increase the speed of my processor without any hardware change. I have 40 GB HD & 512MB with windows XP RAM.plz help

you cannot change the speed of your processor unless your processor supports overclocking. however your processor does not support that.

if your computer is running slow try upgrading the RAM to 1GB.
also check to see whether you have unwanted applications running in the background

Help with a toshiba TECRA 8100

Yes, it should run WinXP. The minimum system requirements to run both Windows XP Home and Professional are 233Mhz, 64Mb RAM and 1.5GB hard drive space. I have a Toshiba Tecra 8000 that still runs XP, a little slow, but has run smoothly for 5 years.

The setupdd.sys error is most likely a due to a defective hardware like RAM. Try installing only one ram if you have two to see if either one is defective; it should work for most users.

Improving the speed of the computer

Look dear the cost of the processor is too high and more over it is related with the other components of the Laptop. So it is totaly worhtless for trying to replace the Processor of the system. however you can increase the performance of the system by adding additional or replace the present RAM in the Laptop.

Upgrade the processor on a Toshiba equium l40 series from a celron M

The core2 duo chips will be a different socket to your celeron cpu so can do that unfortunately. You may be able to upgrade to a faster cpu of the same socket type but will probably need a bios update for it to run at proper speed.

Unfortunately laptops arent really designed to be upgraded at all bar extra ram/hd/dvdrw.

Hope that helps?
