I need the manual for my K5SS mixer my

Hi WWW_SOCRAFTI, you can easily download both the Owner’s Manual and Parts List manual for your K5SS mixer online from the KA website at: http://www.kitchenaid.com/flash.cmd?/#/page/home.
Click on Customer Care>Locate Manuals & Guides> Enter the 6 character model number, in your case use KSM50P (Your K5SS mixer falls within this model range), and then select this file: KSM50PPWH0.pdf (5156.65 KB) from the Owners Manuals (9) list and this file: KSM50P.pdf (438.31 KB) listed under Parts List (4). Check to verify they match your mixer model. You can save them to your PC hard drive, and then you can print a hard copy if you wish, or just refer to it when you need to use it.
The reason I suggest downloading the Parts List manual is that should you decide to try and troubleshoot and fix your KA mixer, this manual will be invaluable in the disassembly and reassembly of your mixer along with listing all the part names and numbers. Having the correct part names and numbers is critical when reordering replacement parts when your mixer eventually will stop working.
Good Luck with your mixer, I hope this helps. Howard, Burke, VA

I didn't get a User's Manual with my KSM90 Ultra Power Blender. How can I obtain one so I can start using my new blender?

Hi RSTOCK7. You can easily download a PDF version of your Owners Manual from the KA website at: (http://www.kitchenaid.com/flash.cmd?/#/page/home).
Click on Customer Care>Locate Manuals& Guides> and enter the 6 character model number, in your case, use KSM90PS, and select the last file listed that appears under Owners Manuals (20): KSM90PSWW0.pdf (2930.74 KB) and save that file to your PC. You’ll need to have Adobe Reader to be able to open it.
After downloading your Owner’s manual, I strongly recommend downloading the last file listed under Parts List (16) manual, too: KSM90PSWW0.pdf (354.08 KB).
The Parts List manual provides exploded view diagrams for the various assemblies of your mixer along with the part names and numbers so you can order repair parts and replace them yourself when your mixer goes out of warranty; one year from purchase date.
You can print both files and keep them in a binder along with your cook books or keep them electronically on your computer to look at when ever you need to reference them.
Good luck, I hope this helps. Howard, Burke, VA

Hi JBKRIEGER, Happy New Year! Yes you can download both your Owners Instruction Manual and Parts List Manual from the KA website at: (http://www.kitchenaid.com/flash.cmd?/#/page/home).
Click on Customer Care>Locate Manuals& Guides> and enter the 6 character model number and then select the appropriate files under Owners Manual for your Instruction and Recipe manual and the file under Parts List for your parts list manual.
The Parts List manual provides an exploded view for the disassembly and reassembly of your mixer, along with all the part names and numbers. (Definitely check to see it this matches your mixer). You may not need it now, but if your mixer is out of warranty and you want to attempt to troubleshoot and fix your mixer yourself if something goes wrong with your mixer, you’ll definitely need that parts list manual.
Good luck with your KA mixer, Howard, Burke, VA.
If this solution was helpful though, please rate it. hslincoln

After sitting since last use I found about a tablespoon of clear yellowish oil in the bottom of the mixing bowl- couldn[t see any on the machine itself. Is there a transmission with oil in it? I have the...

jack440 - When was the last time you used your mixer? To answer your question, yes, you KA mixer has internal transmission and planetary gears which convert the electric motor's rotation into the mixer's rotation. The internal gears are factory packed with enough grease to last a 'lifetime' (whatever that means). Depending on the age of your mixer, where it was stored (high temp possibly?) and how long it's been idle; these conditions may have let some of less viscous grease seep beyond the gasket, down the agitator shaft into your mixing bowl. What can you do? First clean your bowl and agitator shaft with detergent and hot water. If your mixer is not under warranty you can troubleshoot it yourself. Be sure you have the Parts List manual on hand. If you're lacking one, you can download it from the KA website. Click on Customer Care>Locate Manuals & Guides> Enter the 6 character model number (in your case, try K45SSW select Parts List (1) and then check to see it this matches your mixer model). You can check on page 4 & 5 for the disassembly and reassembly of your mixer, along with all the parts. It can be messy but gratifyingl. You might want to reorder the gasket for starters. Once apart you can check for any other unseemly wear and tear on the gears, etc. Good hunting... I hope this helps - Howard, Burke, VA
