Default user name and password for Nuvico EVL-800 DVR

If your Nuvico EVL-400 DVR is not powering on, you will not be able to review the video on the disk using the DVR. However, you may be able to retrieve the video data from the disk if it has not been corrupted.
Here are the steps you can take:

1. Remove the hard drive from the Nuvico EVL-400 DVR.
2. Connect the hard drive to a computer using a SATA to USB adapter.
3. Download a data recovery software such as Recuva or EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard.
4. Run the data recovery software and follow the instructions to scan the hard drive for any recoverable video files.
5. Once the scan is complete, you should be able to view and recover any video files that were not corrupted on the hard drive.

Note that this method may not be effective if the hard drive has been damaged or corrupted beyond repair.

Admin and Passwords come as default. If you changed it and forgot, try unplugging the DVR and restarting. You can also still open the settings and try to re- factory the DVR if the settings permit. Next, I have to assume that you got the Booklet or the email or URL addresses to download same.
There is in the hand book the default password as the User name:password and the Password #'s 1-6. Good luck.

The default password for both Admin and User is 123456

The TVR 30 is shipped with one predefined user for the system administrator and
seven predefined standard users. The default system administrator logon uses admin
as the account name with a default password of 1234. You can modify the admin
password but not the admin user name. The seven predefined standard users are
labeled User1 to User7 with a default password of 4321 and level 4 access. The
administrator can customize the seven standard users and define their privileges.
Use the Users screen (shown in Figure 20 below) to manage users.
Note: When accessing the main menu for the first time, the system lets you pick
either an admin user or a regular user (User 4) by default. If you select User 4, enter
the initial default password of 4321.

By default IE will always show 8 "dots" in the password box; this is so someone can't just look at the length of your password to try to guess it; IE isn't changing your password.
