The paper light flashes on and off and the red Status light is steady on when I turn on this Brother HL-5250DN laser printer. I obviously load the paper cassette with letter size paper and even I put also paper on the manual tray. but the printer still won't recognize there is paper loaded in their trays. To me it seems like the paper tray itself when it is all the way in, the mechanism doesn't lifth the paper at all from the paper cassette, I manually tried to bypass all the sensors that make contact with the paper cassette when it is in the printer, but that doesn't make any difference. Do you think that one of more of the sensors are bad? Thank you for yours suggestions.
Disconnect all usb cable from computer .power off again power on
press & hold down go button press t times if print , reset printer drive in your computer or not print test page replace drum unit .
Also take the toner cartridges out as there maybe paper stuck in the printer.

Go to Printers and Faxes.
Right click on the printer and select Properties.
Toward the bottom, click on Printing Preferences...
Click on the Support tab.
Click on Print Settings.
This should give you three pages. The third page has the network settings including Ethernet/MAC address.

I had same problem, I removed the duplex unit, removed the back and found that the fusor unit rollers had become unclipped where someone had pulled a jam out the back of the unit
