V365 background noise

When a call is made on this Motorola V365 cellular telephone, there is a constant background noise present. Almost like a pink noise generator with the same stoccato beat - like a computer SCADA system transmitting information. It occurs at all locations, does not seem to be tied to one particular cell tower or antenna array. Is there anyway to improve the audio quality and "clip" this noise frequency out of the phone's audio spectrum? It just start to occur a couple of days ago.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
