you must read your instruc. manual for to see what format accept your DVD. Not all the DVD accept all format, download the instr.manual go www.fitness.manualsonline.com or www. retrevo.com and proceed according. However you must shure that must clean the OPU with special DVD cleaner, you can get in Radio Shack or other store electronic supplies. clean it . is a GOOD IDEA, and maybe fix your problem. God bless you
This would indicate the laser pickup assembly is the problem, try a DVD cleaning kit and follow instructions, if no change, far cheaper to replace the stereo.
It's something about the Burlesque dvd. I have the same problem with mine when I try and play it on my Sony blue-ray player. It's the only disc I have that it won't play. Disc is a DVD Video disc but it will no't play in the Sony player. It plays fine on other dvd players and my computer, but not on the Sony.
This model runs slow on the reading process anyway. You might need a firmware update. I have had to update mine three time in the last two years. You can download it from the Sony site, but it is very important to follow the directions perfectly and having the proper burning software. It is an ISO image file so you would need a program to burn it on a CD not DVD as a image file and not a data file. Sony will send you the disc free of charge with instruction and that might be the easiest way to update if you call them. http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=BDPS300
After variety of different tests and findings I have resolved this issue. It appears that the DVD burner was not in good working order and the DVD player was not at fault. Thanks you to all who answered and responded to my problem. Many thanks.
Seems optical lens of unit is causing problem of No Disc. Clean optical lens with cleaner disc and then try to play dvd. If still same problem, take unit to local repair shop for fix.
