E6 message on brother CS 6000i

I have disassembled this machine as far as I dare, which is pretty far. Bought it knowing about E6 message but even though it had lots of lint, I've cleaned it out completely, the only thing I can't get at is under the metal bobbin case holder. Wheel turns, but very hard. I don't think it's value merits a professonal. Am thinking maybe the wrong lubricant? Part of a broken needle? Bent shaft?{maybe fabric was pulled out too hard?}Please help.

Needle Position Sensor is disconnected
This sensor detects the drive timing for the pulse motor for
zigzagging and feed, the vertical stop position for the needle. It
detects the upper shaft angle of rotation using a shutter attached
to the upper shaft and an optical sensor.

My brother cs-6000i computer sewing machine shows a E6. I cleaned around the bobbin and checked the needle. I replaced the bent needle and it still does the same thing "E6". What will fix this?

Follow the instructions below if you receive the error message "E6"
1. Check if the machine rattles and stops as soon as the sewing starts
- Upper thread could be tangled or threaded incorrectly
- Check that the thread take-up lever is threaded

- Raise the presser foot to raise the needle to its highest position and re-thread the machine
2. Remove the bobbin and bobbin case
- Clean any lint or loose threads

- Install the bobbin case so that the projection on it aligns with the spring and install the bobbin into the bobbin case

3. The needle could be bent
- Check that the needle does not hit the needle plate
- Replace the needle if necessary
- Make sure the flat side is facing the back
If the problem persists, your machine may require service.

How to troubleshoot without a manual

Yes, Brother has a free download, Go to this site:http://www.generalmanual.com/Home-Sewing-Embroidery-Machines/Brother-CS-6000i-Sewing-Machine.htm and you should have what you need. You also might have the bobbin pushed to the right, in the wind position. Is so, push bobbin to the left and all should be fine.

I keep getting error E6 on Brothers CS 6000i- I cleaned the thread several times and when I try to restart sewing it happens again. I've removed the bobbin and re-threaded and it keep jammin and beeping....

The motor locked up because the thread is tangled.
Solution:
Remove the tangled thread before continuing the operation.
Clean the bobbin case to remove the tangled thread.
After cleaning the bobbin case, insert the bobbin case properly.
If the needle is bent or broken, replace the needle.
Then, thread the upper thread properly, and continue the operation.

What kind of thread are you trying to use? Is it a decent fresh thread? If, it is old, throw it out and buy some fresh quality thread. Usually, cheap thread is the problem.

Machine is telling me E6 error but there is no thread tangled

If your thread is not tangled .The E6 will come up also if the top thread is not threaded properly. Is your thread breaking at all ?
