I have a compaq presario CQ57 laptop and forgot my password

I can ign in as a guest but I have no administrator privledges.

I have experienced the similar problem as yours. I forgot my HP Compaq Win 7 laptop password, finally got out of problem by DIY a password reset disk with Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0. Your blank bootable USB Flash Drive will help you much now!

To recover a forgotten Windows password on laptop, there are several free methods:
1. With another admin account.
2. With Windows password reset disk.
3. From Safe Mode.
More details you can found on other sites, it is easy to find.


Another tip: Recover Frogotten Windows password Windows Password Key 8.0.
1. Install Windows Password Key 8.0 on another computer and create a password recovery disk with USB
2. Insert the disk to your laptop and set your laptop to boot from it.
3. All user accounts will be loaded, then you can reset any user password.

You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password and privileges. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. Lost Windows password:


  • Login as Administrator. Try with no password (load safe mode if you don't see Administrator). Press F8 during boot to access Safe Mode.
  • Login as other user (if other user is available) and manage users. Must be an administrator.
  • Reformat computer.
  • Use 3rd party software to remove password. Like http://www.top-password.com/reset-windows-password.html
  • There is a free boot CD called Hirens. This one command prompt only. http://www.hirensbootcd.org/

Forgot password for my laptop compaq armada 1750 notebook. I treid going in threw safe mode but it still asked for password. I tried going in as guest but it said account has been disabled.PLEASE...
You can't enter the laptop until it has Guest Account Enabled. It is surely disabled. And for that Forgotten Password, try to remember that do you have any other user on that laptop. If yes, then log into on behalf of that user and change the password of yours by accessing the User Account Page in the Control Panel. This way you need not have to remember the Password of that account. And if you don't have any other administrator, then try a Hard Reset. You can do it by De-attaching every internal and external Attachable part of the Laptop.
