Audio device i have a notebook of compaq and i am facing a problem related to audio .no sound produce from any type of song.i have a audio driver such as conextantand smart audio but it shows audio device not found.please quick send me a perfect solution

1st u will hv to download audio driver. then extrat to my document, after that follow these steps..
1.place d curser over my computer then click on mange through right click
2.then go to device manager>other devices>high defination audio bus>update driver>no not this time>install from a list of specific location>dont search i will choose>sound, video and game controllers>have disk>browse>wisvhe5.inf....aftre that accept all agreements and after that enjoy ur songs........

Try going to Hp's website and upgrading ur sound device drivers for windows XP version of the device.

install a driver for ur audio card. google. compaq drivers. then type in ur make and model and it should pop with drivers for whatever audio card u have.

Did you check start->control panel->system->hardware tab-> device manager and see if there are any errors related to your sound drivers? Probably see a yellow exclamation

first u install the 'high defination audio bus driver" and then install the "Conexant high Defination audio driver"...................now go to device manager and right click on the... "high defination audio bus" and select update driver....here put the "At8VEN5a" in the dialouge box and restart the computer.......

This is a known issue on this particular notebook. This notebook hardware works very well with Vista. And when coming to widnows XP you will face driver compatability issues.
I will provide youa sound driver which has worked fine on all C700 notebook model. Before installing this driver uninstall current driver from the notebook.

After downloading the file please extract the files to a folder on the desktop.
Follow the below steps to install the driver correctly:

1. Click on Start and select Run. Now type devmgmt.msc and press enter. 2. Right click on "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus" and click Update driver. 3. Select not at this time, click on next and Select "Install from a list or specific location".  4. Click Next. Then select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install"  5. Click Next and then select "Sound, video and game controller" from the list. 6. Click Next and then click Have Disk. 7. Click Browse, Choose the location where you have saved the extracted folder. 8. Open the folder and choose the .inf file listed. 9. Ignore any errors you receive and proceed with the installation.
After uninstalling the current audio driver you will get this "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus" entry in device manager.
