Hi my hopoint wm64 has stopped working prior to wife having to bang the door to get it to work. I've changed the door latch and still it doesn't work. I've checked all the connections and the circuit board and everything seems ok, do you have any suggestions. Cheers, Mark (New Zealand)

SOURCE: Hotpoint WM64 doesnt seem to be taking in enough water

Close your faucet valve & unscrew your hoses to check screens on hoses & machine. Clean out well. Refit, check for leaks. Water shd be in good pressure. If this is not the problem change your inlet valve, it is easily done. Suggestion: use powders for front loaders.

SOURCE: Washer not spinning

You're problem is probably the door latch assembly. This is a common problem on Frigidaire front load washers. You can find the part at your local appliance parts suppliers. If the door latch assembly is faulty, the washer will run through all of its normal cycles, but will not spin. Hope this fixes the problem for you.

SOURCE: Hotpoint WT761 washing machine - Error code F-10

Thats strange, F10 means no cold fill.
Ok back to basics, you can check the pressure switch by taking off the tube and gently blowing into it and I mean gently, you should hear a click if its ok - make sure the other end is'nt blocked, blow it out with a cycle pump near the drum end

Frigidaire FMV156DC 950 Microwave sometimes stops heating

This sounds like a common primary interlock switch. Need to check and or replace both door switches. DISCHARGE high voltage components first with no power applied prior to touching anything in the unit. Failure to discharge High Voltage Components can result in death

Whirlpool Gold Quiet Wash Plus quit working and no lights come on now

The first thing I would check is the latch. If it is not engaging properly then nothing will work. It is simple to check. Set it to run. Open the door a little and take a flat screwdriver & press the inside part of the switch in. It is like a button. You my get a little wet but you may find the problem. The latch can get out of whack. If it is one that has adjustments on it then loosen screws and adjust to make it seal the door tighter. a few models you have to bend the latch to adjust. I hope this helps.

Jade dishwasher door problem

The top latch on this is a cam type latch and is a common part to break, if you check the rocker switch in the latch assembly it may be seized, also where the metal shaft runs through the pivot point can crack and cause similar issues.

DE error is coming on my LG wf-t90z20

Hi,

"dE" means you have a door latch error. If you've already tried to unplug the machine and that didn't correct the issue, the door latch assembly will need to be ordered and replaced to fix the issue. The latch assembly is just not reading that the door is shut properly even though it is.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Hi, I have an LG front loader I think the number is 1074fhb. For the last few weeks its taking several hours to finish a short wash it keeps starting and stopping every minute or so flashing DE and...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

'DE' stands for Door Error. There is likely to be a problem with either the door solenoid/lock or the 'door closed' sensor, becoming apparent with the extra movement of the washer actually working, requiring a service engineer's attention I suggest. Sorry ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

My Whirlpool GU2455 dishwasher door stopping latching all of a sudden. I press the Start button. It just blinks and nothing starts up. Seems like the door latch lost its grip and hangs loose when you touch...

the door latch actually has usually 2 microswitches on it that connect to the timing device ie: timer or control board:: if the door is not latching properly then it will not power the control board and the blinking light is a failt code telling you that... it sounds like the door latch is broke and needs replaced... i would order a new latch very easy to replace. you remove the inner door panel of the dishwasher and then will see the door latch mechanism made of plastic of course isint everything these days.... replace it and reconnect the wires ...obviously i would suggest turning your breaker off to dishwasher prior to operating on it....a few good reputable sites to order parts from
