Scan error We have 4 users set up using the scan to desktop feature. However, 1 user cannot scan and receives a "server connect error". The Konica techs have looked at the settings and think it is a workstation issue, but they can't come up with a fix. The scan is set to go to a scan folder at the root of the C drive. The folder is shared. We use SMB. Any ideas? This has been frustrating. Thanks, Marrianne

Make sure that there isn't a firewall on the computer workstation that the files are going to as well as the other workstations. The firewall should be on the router when using this. It can be turned off using Windows Firewall. If there is a third party protection such as Norton, the firewall needs to be turned off of that as well.

Hi Tim,

Can you please let me know the exact error message that you get , while you attempt to use the scan to email function?

May end users believe to scan-to-email to themselves internally, and then send it externally.
and the find it as a probably better option, as we get to preview the attachment before it goes out.

If you are using an exchange server then the exchange cannot handle the message size or attachment size, as well as when there is actually not enough space on the server probably it's full or near full.

Try setting up the email account again and then check if the problem persists, most probably this problem would not persist after a reset of the email account.

Hope this helps...:)

There is a device called a Pocket Pro that attaches to the machine and you can then hook it via a RJ45 connection. I believe Troy makes that device. I have used it several times with success. Its basically a print server device.

the email server address may have changed
touch the utility counter button the the administrator button
touch network setting
touch email setting
touch fwd button
check to see if the host address is correct for email server

or check the email one touch button settings
To edit a one-touch E-mail address:
1. Press utility/counter.
2. One touch user box registration.
3. Create one-touch destination.
4. Address book.
5. Email.
6. Select the E-mail address.

7. Edit.

Hi, I just took over a BizHub 350. Whenever I try to scan to a new email address, it doesn't go through and I get the error message "EA3226". Whenever I try to scan and email to an existing email...

The scan-to-email may have been set up originally to utilize the old email server, using the old domain as the conduit for sending the scans through your network.
You may have to load the driver onto the new email server, or the main network server itself (which would then allow you to scan to emails with any destination as it is using the networks connectivity to deliver the emails, not the email server).
Then you can set up as many new user accounts as you want.

Check the log/details.

It will clarify if it is a server connect error or a log-in one.
It will give you the details as to where the function is falting.

It may be as simple as entering the file path correctly.

Can't scan to smb

in smb server, create a folder and give all rights, to that folder, if youre in domain, it may need you to use a password, so create a user and password and give rights that user in folder then go youre printer ip address, and add a contact, choose smb and fill in the fields. if error occurs, then choose details and you see whats wrong

Scanning to C352 server connect error

Check you smtp server settings in admin settings. Verify there correct. If your smtp server needs your email address and password to send, that should be populated as well under them smtp authentication settings.
