Our washer is shutting off at the rinse cycle. We turn it back on and
it completes 1/3 of the rinse cycle then stops again. Can you

Check the inline filter on the cold water inlet on the back of the machine

If the washer is not completing the Rinse cycle there may be problem with:
Lid switch
Motor coupler
Belts
Clutch
Drive motor
Drive pulleys
Transmission
Agitator

washer stops on rinse cycle then on final rinse cycle
I have what seems to be the same problem. The wash cycles work just fine but the rinse cycles stop randomly and I have to press the start button to get the washer going again. I do this about 6 or 7 times throughout the rinse process. Once it gets to the spin cycle it works fine and completes the load. My washer is a Maytag Neptune MAH3000AWW
My washing machine shuts off at the rinse cycle, and will not turn back on until I turn it to a different cycle. It is a Maytag front load washer, model no. MAV6000AWW.
I have the same problem. I have an older model of the maytag neptune too and it stops and shuts off at each cycle. I have to push start several times throughout the wash until if finishes. Does anyone know what is causing this or why this is happening? Please help.
