You are refering to Reed switch or Sensor switch or Speed Sensor? please indicate.

Some equipment can have the safety switch when you remove the Hood as security measure, for to avoid the machine goes on or Start ON .

Please specify.

i a,m referring to the little magnetic key that you stick into the slot across from the bar you have to hold on to. The manual calls it a "magnetic safety key" and when i turn on the treadmill it says reset safety switch

Locate the reset switch on the underside of the treadmill console
Usually the button is large enough to trigger with a pencil eraser or Q-tip.

Precor 9.45 reset safety switch message wont go away

Grandchild lost my safety switch for Precor treadmill , manufacturer no longer carries this model. Any work around available?

Hi Emily, The safety switch... If that's the plastic part with the steel plate inside it that attaches to the console and when you remove it the treadmill won't operate then try cutting the top off a can and using that until you find the safety switch...Good Luck.....CHEERS..

PRECOR C956 power switch wont stay on

The power switch on Precor treads is also a circuit breaker. If it trips when plugged in, you have a dead short in the machine.

Precor L5 error

Precor Error LS, Speed Sensor Signal Missing Probable Cause 1. Intermittent or open connection of the speed sensor (reed switch) wiring.
2. Reed switch is defective or has intermittent connection.
3. Drive motor brushes are bad.
4. Lower PCA is bad.
Corrective Action

Inspect the speed sensor (reed switch) wiring for damage or poor connection to the lower PCA. Replace damaged wiring or reset connection as necessary.
Using an ohm meter, test the reed switch while rotating the drive pulley. The reed switch will close when the magnet passes in front of it.
Inspect the drive motor brushes and replace if necessary.
Test unit with a known good lower PCA. Replace lower PCA if necessary.

Precor 9.25i treadmill will not turn on at on/off switch. It throws a spark then immediatly turns off
