Help!!! No audio output device installed!! why!!!

Well it is possible that the audio driver installed is not the one compatible with you computer board. Try downloading the specific driver needed for your computer's official website. This should solve your problem.

It depends if internally your motherboard has everthing attached. alot of times for the newer laptops they solder everthing to the board. Power,board and audio. But it really takes you opening it up and seeing if it is detachable and if you even can install a output device to a laptop.

My recommendation being a tech and a musician. Go buy protools pack that comes with a audio output device that is usb connected. You can find this at Guitar Center or any musician store. Its designed for this type of question.

You have to install the audio driver for the audio device first. As for the output audio it is for speakers connect/plug into to the output audio port.

You need the sound driver I assume for this laptop. If it doesnt match hardware perfectly then nothing will work.

Go to vendors site with your S/N and Model number to locate the exact sound driver.

Have you checked in control panel / sound speech / sounds & audio devices / click on "sounds" blind and see if any of the sounds can be activated by clicking the big black arrow. If greyed out then the driver is not installed.

For no Audio output device installed message, go to device manager uninstall the audio driver. Reinstall the audio driver from either Windows update or from the manufacturer's(your Computer or Laptop) Web site.

why realtek ac97 audio not being installed in a windows vista?

This happens because the video card has hdmi output. Since hdmi output can carry audio signals also, the audio driver gets disabled. Uninstall audio driver and video driver both, install the video driver, and then install audio driver. after installing the audio driver, in playback and recording devices choose choose the audio output device you purchased along with the computer. This should fix the issue.

Revert back for any clarifications.

i can't use the audio output device,,, it always says no audio output device is installed..

its a known issue --if you u upgrade vista home to vista ultimate.just u need to uninstall the audio driver and install it again

windows key + R = open : devmgmt.msc
Sounds, video and game controlers > (right click) Realtek high definition audio > update driver sofware > browse my computer for driver software > let me pick from a list...> double click on Realtek high definition audio > YES to update driver warning > AND SWEET SOUND IS AUDIBLE :D
