I have connected my DVR to DIG 1 input and my XBOX 360 to DIG2
I set them up to play for TV (DIG1) and DVD (DIG2).
I can successfully switch between them in out living room but when I switch to Multiroom to play music outside I cannot hear the 'DVD' source (ie no XBOX 360 sound). [I am streaming music from my PC to XBOX and want to hear it outside]. To baffle me even more, the TV source works and I can hear the TV outside.
What on earth is wrong with this????
Thanks
John
Each input re[resents a zone, not a device. If your are lookin to seup multizones, each output controls one zone, ie - 1 = living room, 2 = outside, 3 = garage, 4 = pool room. If you are using a multidevice unit, the inputs must all go to one connector, input 1 = stereo, 2 = tv, 3 = xbox, 4 = pa.
Let me know if this make sense. If you have the make of the unit I will be more precise for you. I install these everyday, so this is easy.
Forgive my typing.

Are you posting in two users?
OK, let see if we can fix you too. I am working with someone else with the same problem.
On the rear panel please tell me what connections you have setup for the fifth connector from the right (Mutil-Room) on the left hand connector panel
Let me see if I can make sense of this for you. If you connect to Speaker C and turn that on (switch next to connector), you canuse this as multi-room from the primary source. Meaning with speaker C connected and on, that room will hear the same sound device a the primary system.
Multi-Room is Remote control driven, meaning it can have its ouwn source, but requires a seperate device from Marantz to function in that manner. If you look at page 17 of your manual you will see the graphic for this setup. It is confusing, I admit, but by connecting to Speaker C and turning it on, you should be able to get the device to play that room with the main, in order to have the third room let's call it, you must use the Marantz Main Amp for Multi-Room in order for that room to function.
Make sure the menu options below have been setup properly as the function separately from the main source.

I do not understand this answer. I have a Marantz SR7200
Each input does go to a different connector (the Digital Ones).
I do not understrand why it has no problem playing from the two sources in the main room but ignores the second in the Mutli room
