Yea, isn't that annoying!  Took me like 15 - 20 min to figure out you just leave it blank and click ok or apply whatever it is and you're golden.  I'll post seperate here for a full set of bridging instructions.

In order to get the WEP for a westell modem, first check the default gateway ipaddress of the modem. Connect the modem to the computer and check the def gateway.

Steps to check the def gateway.
Win XP: Start>Run>cmd>OK.
In command Prompt type ipconfig. Def gateway. You might find something like 192.168.1.1.
Type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of your IE browser. You would get the westell modem page. Default username and password for the modem would be admin and password. If this does not work try admin and admin. Even if this does not work reset the modem. The default username and password would change to admin and password. But before you reset the password please make sure you have your ISP username and password. Once you get into the modem page click on wireless settings. You would find wireless status. In the list you would find 64 bit wep key. That is your WEP for westell modem.
