How can I delete messages on my phone?

Delete the recorded messages, by pressing the reset switch, or goubg through menus if yiu have a display.

To delete message, see page 26 of the manual.
To set the date/time, see page 9.

Usually you play back messages on the console, and there is a "delete" key you can press for messages you have already heard.

Set up the answering machine that came with your Vtech 5.8phone. To activate your voice mail, press the "Answer on/off" buttonat the base of the main cordless phone. Press "Setup" and then usethe arrows to set the number of rings before the answering machine picks up Press the "Announce" key on your Vtech 5.8 mainphone base to listen to the greeting that people hear when they call you. Press"Record" to record a new greeting and then press "Announce"to listen to the greeting.Press "Play" on your Vtech 5.8 main phonebase to listen to your voice messages. Press "Delete" to erasemessages.

Im sorry, but once you delete a message on the Vtech system, it is deleted forever, Good to know for the next time! :(

Sadly, no. The messages are digitally stored, and when you press "delete" they are truly gone. It's annoying, and I've done it myself many times.

By their very nature, home telephones are simple things.

Theres no fancy way of 'un-deleting' it, your message has gone forever I am sorry to say.

Look at the note on page 27 of your manual.

"note You cannot delete a message until it;s been reviewed: deleted messages cannot be recovered.

There is no retreival of deleted messages. I went to the VTech web page, downloaded the PDF manual, and read the notations there.
