did you try to press the stop button then change the cycle to another then press the power button then press and hold the start button again that works most of the time.
So it will agitate and fill but the motor won't run during drain and spin?
If so, the likely cause is a bad lid switch. The paddle that the probe
hits when the lid is down moves a small switch. That switch can do two
things
1. fail internally. It will look fine outside but it won't close the circuit
2. the screw holes snap and it hangs off the wires, the probe no longer hits the paddle and the switch stays open.
The lid switch is cheap and very easy to repair.
I had a similar problem with my washer. It was clicking, but the agitator was moving fine. The clicking was coming from the centrifugal switch. After checking the capacitor I was about the give up and call a repair tech. Then I noticed the Speed Selector was set between Delicate and Normal. I moved the selector to a proper position and the washer stopped making the clicking noise and is working correctly.
Open and close lid, listen for 'clicking' sound. If no 'clicking' sound, replace lid switch. If this washer has a hidden lid switch, check the lid hinge screws and make sure they are screwed in tight.
sounds like may be in clutch
see if you can help the tub start spinning when trying in spin setting...if trying to turn or turns some and stops most likey clutch slipping
That is the motor that is going bad. it is a loud click on and off. They have a fix kit for that it takes about 30 min to install " I have done about 30 of them.I do not think they are to pricey.
