I suggest, you use the laptop to format your card. The process is as follows.
- Insert the SD card in the SD Card slot available on your laptop. Enter My Computer, and right click on the icon which represents your card. Format it from there as you would do for any other USB data storage.
If you don't have a laptop, or your laptop doesn't have the SD Card slot. Then, you should purchase an SD Card reader. The process mentioned above would be similar.
If all fails. I recommend you to get another card, as the card may have been corrupted.
10 replace batteries or recharged very well the batteries. 2) clean very well the contacts batteries from oxide, dust, dirty. or corrosion 3) batteries loaded in WRON direction 4) batteries is NOT the right type 5) poor contact between battery and cover , clean and adjust it . 6) Memory card slot/battery covert is open God bless you
is the lock on the card by chance. also depending on how old the camera is and how big the sd card is in gb. the lumix may not be able to handle that size of card, too many gb. My lumix would only accept up to 4 gb, so when I moved to 16 they did not work.
The D50 works with SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it will only work with devices specifically designed to accept SDHC cards. The D50 wasn't. It only works with SD cards, 2GB and smaller.
Check your SD card, there may be a piece of it missing. Did the same to my camera and looking into the card holder, there was a piece of SD card lying at th bottom! (I used a needle to dislodge it!)
