When i power up my N95 it lights up and brings up the nokia splash screen that says "Nokia" , holds that screen for 3 or 4 seconds then goes black for the same amount of time then brings up the same same nokia screen again the goes black again the just keeps repeating that process over 3 or 4 times then just powers off again

Try to hard reset the Nokia N95 using the combination method.
Power off phone. Press and hold Green, * and 3 and keep them held whilst powering on and for a few seconds after, if kept pressed this formats without asking for Security Code confirmation.

In some models the above hard resets dont work then
press an hold "*","#","green" simaltaneously then power ur cell phone..after few seconds u ll see a formatting screen,it will take few minutes and ur cell phone will work fine

Just format your phone by the following way
To Format the phone
1)Switch off the phone
2)Hold 3,* and Green button simultaneously

CAUTION: You will loose all the data and contacts stored in phone memory, But this is the only way
There are two things that you could do. One is to power cycle the phone and to bring it to the Nokia.
