The spray gun instruction HERE but be very careful - try shampooing in an inconspicuous area first. This is essentially as if you would buy some of those "spray on" upholstery cleaners in an aerosol cans.

The green light on the top right of my Kirby Sentria comes on when I press the start switch. But when I lower the brush assembly, it shuts off as soon as it hits the carpet. What should I do?

The belt clean the both bearings the brush should run smooth and the bearings can be both adjusted and should both in the same high / low setting adjusted .

Hose for G3 Kirby doesn't fit Sentria

Yes G3 and G4 had different gasket thus the suction blower connector connecting Kirby hose to the unit on later models is different. You do not need to replace entire hose but just the plastic part that connects to the vacuum. You can find it HERE. To remove old connector you may have to submerge the end of the hose into hot water (not to hot to touch) so the vinyl becomes soft and you can bend it in with finger bringing plastic end over the lip on the molded end of the hose.
