Hello, welcome to FixYa.
I understand you have a Frigidaire Affinity ATF6000 series washer with an error code E23, correct ?
If that is indeed the error code you receive in the display it is potentially bad news unfortunately, as that indicates either loose wire (fingers crossed) or a failed drain pump relay on the control board. This is how it is described in the Frigidaire service tech manual.
Further to this, if it is not a loose wire at the pump or on the control, the only remedy is to replace the control board, unless you are proficient at electronic repairs (including soldering techniques) and can purchase an exact relay and replace just the relay...though that doesn't guarantee the control hasn't suffered collateral damage in the process.
A new control is part #134523106...
it is available at several on-line parts vendors such as "repairclinic.com" or "searspartsdirect.com" to name a couple as these links will provide.

Hope this answers your question and helps you move forward. Let me know how you make out or if anything isn't clear. Good luck and thank you for choosing FixYa today.

when feeling around in the pump area, i found a horse shoe shaped black
plastic thing with a wire attached to it, just hanging there, I wonder if that should
be hooked up to something.... can not find any diagrams to see on my own, and i can not get the front open to see anything as the screws are rusted onto the machine!!
Thanks for the start...
Hello again,
Thank you for your reply. I think it is unlikely the area you described is related to the E23 error, but if you want to post back with an email address I can see about sending you the service manual which explains most every repair or service issue in detail, for a small fee...it's your call.
The error as indicated is typically only initiated by the control relay or a wire at said control or the pump harness being loose or unplugged, those wires are shown here...
CONTROL:
PUMP:
As mentioned it is unlikey to be caused by anything "in" the pump...unless I misunderstood what you meant by feeling around the pump area. The back of the washer can be taken off via removing the six screws if it makes this easier...as opposed to the front being removed.
REAR PANEL:
Let me know what you find or how you'd like to proceed and I'll try to help going forward. Good luck.
Regards,
Macmarkus :)
the last picture of the wire from the back view looks like the part i was speaking of, i will try to take off the back and see if that part i was talking about harnesses in there like shown, wouldnt that be great!! I honestly always thought it was the panel, but will try everything before i spend another buck!! thanks keep you posted!!
I finally got the back of the washer off, and the part that i was talking about did indeed connect to the pump. Just not exactly the way in your picture, but it did connect and now I am able to at least manipulate the washer by master minding the error code cycle, i can fill up the washer with my choice of water temp, run a wash, make it spin empty, make it fill for a rinse and then empty. when it finishes i get an error code at the end of the over ride to the error proceedure of E47. I guess I will have to save up for the 166.00 part. But in the mean time, i can wash clothes in my own home!! wait till i tell the husband, i now have job security in washer fixin!! thanks!!

Hello Robert Reische, thank you for your inquiry!
I understand that your Frigidaire washer is showing an "E23" error code. Based off the information I show "E23" stands for drain pump relay on board failed or wire off the pump. Which means you could have an issue within the main control board or wiring to pump. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would recommend having a technician come out to properly diagnose and repair your appliance. Hopefully this helps. -Matt
Hello efrendepaz - That is correct, typically error code E45 indicates that the washer has detected a Main Control Board issue. The control board will need replacing and regrettably this is not simple DIY job. I would strongly recommend connecting with a professional to move forward accurately.
Hello zabbster - Typically the DR or DO error code indicates that the door switch is not closed. Make sure that the door lock is completely closed. If the door is closed, make sure the door latch is not broken. If the latch is broken, you may possibly need to replace the door lock switch.
