SOURCE: Washer Dryer flooding at spin cycle
Nicola...not sure what you mean by floods. If you mean that water is coming out of the top of the machine basket as a result of either overflow or splashing, each is different from water coming out of the drain hose.
Generally, washers which are spinning are also completing a rinse cycle...the program adds a bit of water to the spinning load to drive out the last of the detergent.
If you've got a problem in spin with flooding out of the top (basket full), this is probably a timer issue (or...less likely...a sticking water valve). If the problem is splashing, you should keep the cover closed for safety. If the drain hose is overflowing, the problem is lack of capacity to take the pumpout. Clean the drain.
SOURCE: does machine have a filter
The filter is to be found at the rear of the washer.
Remove lower rear panel of washer, remove large black hose fastened to bottom of tub.
Watch out for water running out.
Remove plastic`filter inside hose and clean.
Refit filter and hose.
Dirty washing can somtimes be attributed to washing at too low a temperature, so make sure you have selected right temp for washing.
Please leave a fixya rating for my solution.Thanks.

You have a fault on the machine which is a dead short or an earth leakage.
Neither can be sorted out without a set of testers and some knowledge
Unless you can get hold of a resistance checker and know how to use it call a in a repair person
