No,only way to placed the Plasma screen panel, that not an option, because replaced the Plama screen panel will cost the same as a new tv.Sorry have to live with the burn in image or buy a another tv,buy a LCD or a LED tv this time, not as bright and that good with cinamax movies, like a Plasma tvs,but u will not have burn in easy as a Plama tv.

Playstation 3 and plasma tv

yes it is, the only thing that you need to be aware of with plasmas is that you don't want an image to stay continually on the screen as the screen will burn that image into itself. An example would be if you would use the tv as a second screen for your computer and the desktop image was always on the screen, eventually it will get burned in to the screen.

Question About Picture Burn

Picture burn is caused not only by xbox's, wii's and such, but by regular tv as well (those little insignias in the bottom right hand corner).

Main thing is to turn any brightness controls down to lower levels, and do not leave still images on the screen all the time. As long as the images are moving, then the screens don't "burn".

LG Plasma TV

No. Today's plasmas are less susceptible to burn-in effect. However, plasmas run hotter than LCD TV. Without proper ventilation coupled with extended viewing hours (whether playing games or watching TV) it can hurt your TV. Enjoy playing!

Use of PS3 on Plasma TV's

I was worried about burn in when I got my 42 inch plasma a year ago. I read reviews and suggestions saying that you should not play games on it for the first couple months of use on the plasma TV's. I actaully stayed away from games for about a month on it and I have been fine and have never had any issues. I have a cheaper model as well so I would guess the expensive ones would be even better then that for burn in.
