Flahing E 5 and lights blinking on black and colored ink

Hi, the E5 means that:
The ink cartridges are
not installed[1401],
or a non-supported ink
cartridge is
installed[1485],
or the ink cartridges are
not installed
properly[1687].

Try with diferrent ink crg., Be sure to use genuine. If that doesnt help, the problem is in printer head, or logic board.

Hope that helped.

Ink cartridge question

Try Soaking the print head in Warm water for about 3 minutes. Dry off the print head with a paper towel. If you don't see any ink on the paper towel, then the print head is clogged and it will be difficult to unclog the cartridge.
If the warm water doesnt work, then next try some Windex with amonia. Only soak the bottom of the cartridge where the ink comes out. Soak the printhead for about 3 minutes, and then try wiping off the bottom again. Press a dry paper towel on the bottom. If there is no ink then it is probably time to get a new cartridge. In the future, always try to refill your cartridge right away as soon as possible so that the ink in the cartridge/print head doesnt get a chance to dry out.

I hope this helped.
