When wireless switch is flipped on Toshiba laptop Satellite A105-S2716 - the screen goes black and blinks repeatedly. I thought my screen was going bad but as soon as I flip the wireless switch to 'off' and hook into my ether-net connector (land line versus wireless) the screen is fine. I called Toshiba and they said they have no idea and want me to bring in for service. Would like to avoid that as I need my laptop everyday. Anyone know what the problem could be with my wireless?

This could be a connection problem with the wireless antenna, which is interfering with the monitor, as most laptops have a high effeciency antenna which is fitted in the screen surround, so i would send to a qualified repairer to check it out.

I dont think so as the S1712 uses the Atheros® 802.11 b/g wireless-LAN card and the s2716 uses the Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG card. You can call Toshiba TS to verify, but most likely they are not interchangeable as they are different. That doesn't mean that it is 100% a no go as it still might function, but chances are slim. I have a Toshiba Satellite A105-S2716 its about 3 years old and I have tried all extended life batteries but they don't charge.

Toshiba had issued a bulletin and a BIOS upgrade (version 2.0) to address the battery not charging/working issue (it's a bug in the system is what it is). Make sure that's done before contemplating any hardware changes or repairs.

The LCD assembly will have a part number either on a paper sticker or printed on some empty real estate. Check for one that matches the structure of part number(s) listed on eBay.

remove all bottom screws, pull apart buttom cover, you will have access to fan which should have a couple screws and wire clip holding it all together.

Some laptops have a button to "disable" the wireless adapter.
Click START
Click Control Panel
Click Classic View
Click Network Connections
Check that the wireless adapter is "enabled".
Right-mouse-button click on the icon for the wireless adapter,
and then click "repair".

I think your Toshiba got grounded or short circuit inside. Better also to use USB Keyboard, it works.

Hi, the conflict that your equipment presents does not refer to the driver that this installing, refers to a fault of hardware which does not allow that the card of video give image to the LCD, and by the same situation when forza the video the equipment it is restarted, the solution to your problem is to replace the card of video.
