I can not release the main component in my Saesco de luxe. Here a loud clicking noise when machine is turned on.

My Bamix stopped working--no shaft movement and loud motor noise (think disuse caused motor lubricant to thicken). Propped it upside down and put drops of quality machine oil at seam where narrow blade shaft enters larger shaft (in center of curved guard). Probably not necessary, but added a few drops where large shaft enters handle. Oil slowly seeps in. Attached a blade to manually turn for oil distribution. Did this periodically over several hrs. Turned on low speed and it gradually returned to full speed capacity.

Machine could be scaled up. clean the steam and coffee outlets then descale whole system.Other possible causes could be a faulty pressure pump.

The button to push was the steam button and hold for 5 to 10 seconds until the light goes out.

There is a lever inside the door on the right. It is at the top in the center. Pull it back one click and try again. The crunching noise does it sound like a clicking noise?

Try to open the steam knob to see if the pump is starting.

open the machine up and follow the line from the spout (which should give the coffee) till the boiler. The spout most likely is clogged.

I would try to reprogram the button. Push and hold the button. Keep it held down while it is grinding. Don't release the button until you have the desired amount in your cup for that button. When you do, Then release the button. See if that doesn't clear the problem.

Make sure that both the tray and dump box are placed correctly- otherwise the machine will not start. Both have a switch and when that switches are not engaged, the machine will not turn on.

Did you find a repair place in the Bay Area? I, too have a problem with my Saeco espresso maker.

2 things. Brain (main board) could be dead.

Gun shot sound could also be the gears kicking.

Not a good sound and neither is cheap to get fixed. If its both... dump the machine, it'll be cheaper to buy a new one.

Brain plus both gears would hit you 400+ usually.
