The WS55511 doesnt have a reset button like the DLP models instad you have to unplug the set from the wall for 5 minutes to reset it.

How do I reset big screen tv to 1080 on remote

You don't.
It should automatically switch to 1080 when and only when there is a HD signal present. Otherwise it will be in 480 and you will need to use the format button on the remote to change the picture size. If it does not switch to 1080 and you know for sure you have a true HD signal present, there is a problem with the unit.

Hi there, I have a Mitsubishi HDTV 1080 and when I tried to turn it on the tv this morning it wouldn't turn on and the power light is flashing green. I pushed in the reset button but it just keeps flashing and still won't turn on.
