The fuel system is probably gummed up from the gas sitting in the unit. Change the gas and use a fuel additive such as Star Tron in the new gas to help clean it out. If that doesn't get it, you may end up needing to replace the fuel filter and/or rebuild the carburetor. You can get the model # from your carburetor (usually stamped into the housing of the carburetor, itself) and enter it at PartsBuggy's website here to get a list of the available repair kits.

Ethanol in fuel shortens the shelf life of fuel dramatically and using Star Tron can all but eliminate the problems of ethanol in today's fuel.

AGA Legacy 36 rt front burner wont stay lit

Each burner has a thing called a thermocouple. it's function is to keep the gas valve open for that burner. if for some reason the gas was to stop and restart it won't fill the house with gas. gas water heaters used them for years. anyway look for a little tube where the flame should be and replace it. take it out and take it with you. most any hardware store will have them. buy two and keep one for a spare. DO NOT PLAY GAMES AND TRY TO BY PASS THIS.

Masport 4 stroke mower...started it up and it worked for a couple minutes with a strange rattling growling noise.. Oil ok and petrol filled but the mower just shut it's self down and im not sure w

It will run for a few minutes and then shut down?
Lets ignore the growl for now. Loosen Gas cap and see if it will keep running. The rattle might be in the pull cord mechanism..possibly not related to stalling issue

New poulan pro 25cc chokes out after if I give it full throttle. Runs ok except it wont stay running on full throtle.

I find with my Poulan Pro that you need to let it warm-up abit before applying full throttle, I live in Upstate NY where the weather has bee great lately, however, it stalls easy ..I mix 1-pint of 3 stroke oil to 1-gallon of gas for my weed eater and have no problem

I havent used my generator in about 6 years. I filled up the tank with fresh gas, cleaned the spark plug with a wire brush and it still doesnt start. Is there anything else I could do?

If it hasn't been run and it had gas in it when it was stored, chances are the carb is messed up. When gas sits for a long period of time it turns into a varnish like substance. You can take some WD-40 and spray into the air inlet with the air filter off. Set the choke on and see if it will fire. It wont run very well but it should fire. If it does rebuild the carb.

The car was running fine after i let it warm up. i ran outta gas and every since that the car will stall out when the gas peddle is pressed. it reves up then stalls out i have to keep pressing on the gas...

usually if you run your car or truck dry it messes with the fuel pump really badly so i would check your fuel pressure. not sure what kind of car or truck you have but its really easy to look up how to check your fuel pressure on the internet. its also a good idea to put an additive in with your next fill up just to lube everything back up. oil only lubes the one side and a lot of people dont know that additives really save your engine some stress

Engine wont stay running

It is a diaphram carb. Doe's the primer **** straight gas or does it have air bubbles in it? If it has bubbles in it then it is a leak in the fuel line.
If not then Unhook the intake fuel line and pump the bulb until all of the gas is out of it. Then pour the gas out of the tank and rinse it out with new gas. Pour in new gas and it should be ok.

Xc 600 stalling

when it stalls, is it on a warmer day? ie 20+ degrees? is it overeheating or hot? If you have never had the carbs serviced, the summer/fall may be a good time. inside the carbs, you have differnt circuits, they may be gummed up. Good luck

Wont stay running with out the choke on

it sounds like you need a carb clean performed. the idle cuciut jet is probably dirty and that is the jet that supplies gas to the combustion process at idle rpm's. when you have the choke pulled out it is adding fuel and air so when you shut off the choke the fuel supply goes away. for the oils use yamalube 2 stroke oil for pre-mix and 10w -30 gear oil for your tranny.
