No voltage to the lamp socket. is there a relay ?
Possible answer:
Check wiring. Seems My Dog went on a destructive spree.
Under drivers side ,I laid on the ground and there is a well open area under chassis, near engine and front left wheel ( under driver Floorboard ). The wiring harness just inside chassis frame. I found the harness chewed, with brown wiring chewed completely in half. Other wires were mauled, but still intact reasonably. Good Luck on The Hunt.
Ck wires not sockets sounds like ground problems

The marker lamps

The tail lamps

The license lamp
The front marker lamps are grounded through the turn filament of the respective front park/turn lamp. The front marker lamps light as a result.
The automatic lamp control function turns on the park lamps and the headlamps. This action occurs when the ambient light sensor determines that the exterior lamps should be turned ON based on the amount of available light. When the BCM grounds the park lamp relay, voltage is supplied directly to the park lamps, bypassing the turn/headlamp switch assembly. When this action occurs, the following conditions exist:
?€¢
The automatic lamp control relay is grounded.
?€¢
The headlamps turn ON. Refer to Headlights/Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Circuit Description .
The lamps turn OFF when the BCM does not ground the park lamp relay or the automatic lamp control relay. This action is caused by the following conditions:
?€¢
The available light reaches a predetermined level.
?€¢
The ignition switch is turned to the OFF position

Lighting problems started with R rear direction signal light stopped working. Changed socket assembly, BUT did not fix problem. R front blinker started running fast. Then L rear tail signal stopped working and front L signal started running faster. After a while Then Rear running lights stopped working. Then after a while the Rear brake lights stopped working. Than emergency lights quit working. ALL front lights work.
I have the same problem with my 99 suburban. The right rear blinker/brake like stopped working. the bulbs are OK. I'm thinking it is a ground problem. I have the generic GM wiring diagram from my Hayes book and I will try to track the problem down.
I'm having same problem.Rear right blinker went out.I replaced bulb.Went out again in a month.Replaced tail light circuit board and bulb. Turn signal went out again in a few months and again in another few months.I've just been replacing the bulb which seem to last several months at a time.Cheaper than spending money on someone to figure it out.I have no other electrical problems. If someone can tell me what I need to do to fix it i'd appreciate it
