I'm at the exact same stage where P1 displays after the first reset. Unable to do anything else in any mode at this point. The fc:01080000080002 is on the receipt after the reset.
Help, please.
It looks like you have lost the program. This normally means you have a flat or faulty battery. If it hasn't been replaced in the last four years, take it to a dealer to have the memory battery replaced before re-programming the machine.
I was able to reset the register and it's working perfectly fine now. However I'm just wondering if there's a way to reset just one key without having to reset the whole register. I accidentally assigned wrong value to % key and would like to just have it at its default setting. Can't figure out how to do that.
can i reset it without going to the dealer ? i have the same problem " P1 "

If you have that on the display, the FC reset was successful. it should have printed out a receipt at the same time. Now you turn the key back to REG and the lockup that you were trying to clear should be gone.

If anyone needs a manual for a Casio TE-2400, the programming manual is here:http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Casio_TE-2200_and_TE-2400_dealers_manual.html
electroboy - got your solution but after turning to reg. I tried to sign on a clerk by pressing 1 clk key but clerk not signing on. what could be the problem?
Make sure the CLK# button actually has the function for clerk set to it. This model has a flexible keyboard, so someone may have set a different function to that button. Also, make sure no one has set PIN numbers for clerk sign on. Try using 2 CLK#, or 3 CLK# etc. Lastly, make sure there is no-one currently signed in. On Casio machines you use 0 CLK# to sign the last user out.
hi electroboy - still not able to sign on. Isn't it that when you do a fc reset a standard factory program resident in the machine is reistalled according to the keyboard layout that oringinally comes with the machine. If this is so then why am I not able to sign on a clerk? Do I need to progam a clerk key? If so how do I progam a ckerk ? Thanks for for your help
The FC (flag clear) stops the current task, resets the current register flags (removes any items in the current sale) and returns you to an open mode state. It is used to halt a sale or allow you to exit from a lockup situation. It does not change any programmed data.
I suspect you may not have any clerks set up or you may have the clerks set to an alternative system.
Perform the FC clear again. After you press SUBTOTAL, the machine should print a receipt. Check the print out and tell me what the long number is next to FC on the receipt.
