JVC problems Mike, I seem to be having the exact problem described - your response is below - my question is roughly how much would a repair like this cost. My tv is 2 ys old and cost about $400 when new, is it worth spending the money to fix it or should I get a new one? I'm not sure of the model number, its a 32" JVC iArt CRT Thanks, Jay It is not a fuse, since if the fuse was bad, the power LED would not light at all. I have seen that symptom many times and I usually find 2 problems which cause this. On some sets, one of the larger caps in the power supply's secondary side degrades just enough that the set will not start. On other sets, I usually find that the small transistor that turns the relay on has shorted out, and the 11 volt zener diode next to it is usually shorted too. The transistor is a very small surface mount transistor, so the set should be serviced by a qualified tech experienced in JVC sets.

SOURCE: tv does not power up

You answered on your own. (lol)If its suppose to be a standby 12 volt supply then whats the top voltage to be there?? 12 VOLTS!!! The value your looking for is a 12 to 13 volts 1 watt zener diode.. Im thinking your a handi man trying or attemting a repair?? please remember the HI voltage saftey issues, as these sets hold alot of HI voltage even after they are unplugged for a while. Good luck

SOURCE: horizontal output transistor

You can Swap them if they are of the same rating, must check the wattage. cause the width problem & the power transistor become over heat. you can also use both of them in parallel, if they are ok. your tv live longer.....

SOURCE: Mitsubishi cs40507 blown zener diode

It should be at the back cover, just where the model number is. If you have the TV open, it may also be found inside, maybe on or around the tuner area.

My JVC Everio Hard Disk camcorder is stuck in zoom. We have tried everything and cannot seem to get it to unzoom.

This is most likely a defective zoom rocker switch assembly and can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

There seems to be issues with the soldering on it getting old and loose, also there are some common parts that burn out or go bad over time. I am not sure if you want to spend the money or are going to be able to find someone to fix it.

2007 Land Cruiser stalls to idle and non responsive to gas pedal

Had exact same problem after driving 120 miles in Florida heat. After 30 minutes started but ran rough for a day and now seem fine. Thought at first fuel filter or dirty gas. Going to replace filter anyway. Is this a common problem?

Hello my name is Mike, I have a GE

The link below describes disassembly of the dryer you have . You will notice that the manual is for Westinghouse and Frigidaire. GE must have had some made for them also. Circuit diagrams and control panel appearance may not be exactly the same but disassembly will be.

The disassembly section begins at page 61.

Jvc rx 318 receiver

The problem you describe is common to JVC amps. This control has a motor mounted on the back of the circuit card that drives the volume control up or down using the remote control for this system. The looseness of the volume control cannot be repaired. The shaft has separated from the potentiometer. I don't know if JVC has this part any longer but it has to be replaced as a unit (volume control card).
