Hi! First of all in user's guide manual says that this tablet works just fine with only 3 IM : 1.Google Talk; 2. Windows Live Messanger 3. Yahoo! Messanger. Try one of those to see if the camera button appears.

Make sure that you are using the most recent firmware version. If you have the 7" Galaxy Tab, then 2.3 would be the most recent version. If it's the new 10" version then Honeycomb 3.1 would be the newest. The firmware update fixes some of the issues with Skype.

Also make sure that your version of Skype is the most recent from the marketplace.
