Is there a better motherboard for the ThinkCentre M51-8143 which supports FSB 1333MHz?

I don't see the Gateway GT5238E motherboard supporting an Intel Core2 Duo E8400.....

The motherboard in the Gateway GT5238E has an Intel G965/Q963 motherboard chipset.
Front Side Bus, (FSB), support is 1066MegaHertz. (1066MHz)

Hi proenza. you're making good sence! You're D945GCL MB should be able to run 1066 FSB. Not 100% sure you're memory will keep FSB up to 1066.
Here's the trouble though. The Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 will not run on the Intel D945GCL motherboard because it is not supported. Look here at Intel's web site. Supported CPU's.

In order to get 1066MHz (CPU can run at), you'll also need the memory support at 800MHz. The D945GCL MB can only run DDR2-667MHz.
Many people buy a CPU to run MB's specs (1333MHz) just to find the same MB does not support DDR2-1066MHz or DDR2-800MHz. Motherboard Mfg's are lagging. DDR3-1333MHz is out there now to support the 1333 MHz CPU FSB.
