Hi Rose,

There could be several reasons for this. lets go step by step.

Step 1, If the laptop has any USB device or USB Cable connected, Disconnected it and try to boot.

Step 2, If the laptop is on DOCK, remove it from Dock and try to boot.

Step 3, Remove the CMOS battery and try to boot the laptop with Power adapter plugged in. if this resolves, it is defective battery

Steps 4. If you are able to get power on the laptop, Insert the Recovery disk you must have received with the laptop.

If none of these steps work, Reply me with more detailed information about the issue.

Regards,
Suhail

    Hi Rose,

Usually the recovery disk is shipped with the laptop for windows or System Recovery, however we can still give a try to fix it but this requires a bit of hardware troubleshooting. This may do more damage to the existing problem or may resolve too.

If your laptop is in warranty, you can contact the Lenovo Tech support for help.

Now to do the hardware Troubleshooting, you may need to remove the laptop screws where the Hard Disk and RAM is, and disconnect the Hard Disk cables and Remove the RAM and use blower to blow air and connect them back.

If this does not fix, check the link below for more further troubleshooting help

How do I add Boot devices to Boot Menu on Acer V5-122P which only shows the internal HDD

Because this is one of the thin client laptops all you have in the laptop is a Hard drive. and other boot device is a USB device that you plug in. As such the bios will not show it until it is plugged in and then you can select it to boot from.

Laptop acer

Itu menunjukkan yang laptop kamu boot menerusi rangkaian.
Kamu harus tukar pilihan boot dalam "BIOS setup" dan pastikan Hardisk ditempatkan pada boot yang pertama. Selamat mencuba.

It looks like the laptop is trying to boot on network,
you need to enter the bios setup and make sure the hardisk is assigned as 1st boot. Good Luck.. :)

Computer does not boot upThe problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needsreseating to make proper electrical contact.

My tosshiba satellite A665-55186 wont go in to windows boot, what can i do??

Just like other computers, your Toshiba laptop may start failing to boot the operating system completely, or may fail to boot up at all. Boot problems are caused by virus infections and issues related to hardware and software. With the proper troubleshooting techniques, boot problems can be remedied to get the laptop into good working condition.

1. Perform initial hardware checks. Ensure that the laptop has enough battery life to boot up. Charge the laptop using its AC adapter and then try to boot the laptop again. If nothing happens, plug the AC adapter into another power outlet. If this does not help, check to see if external drives (flash drive, external hard drive, etc.) are connected into one of your USB ports. Unplug it from the laptop and press the laptop's power button. If the laptop powers on but fails to load the operating system, proceed to the next step.

2. Ensure that the hard disk is not disabled in the boot sequence in your BIOS. Otherwise, the laptop will fail to fully boot the operating system. Reboot the computer and press a key that will lead you to the BIOS page. Set your hard disk as your "first boot priority," or first in the "boot sequence." Note that the steps on loading the BIOS as well as navigating throughout the BIOS pages will depend on what brand of BIOS is installed in your laptop.

3. Choose boot to the "Last known good configuration" if you get an error page before the operating system boots up. If after choosing this option the computer reboots again, choose "Start Windows Normally," if this is in the list of options.

4. Consider repairing or reinstalling the operating system if the computer still fails to boot after the steps above. Repairing the operating system will retain your current data and settings. Reinstalling the operating system means reformatting or deleting all data in your computer and installing a fresh copy of the operating system.

I hope you find it very helpful. Best regards from fixya

I have laptop (lenovo E260) this laptop has problem in booting it does not make boot from CD also it has no USB boot so what can I do to fix this problem? It needs format because it does not work

Boot up the laptop and enter into your BIOS. You can do this by pressing F2 at startup. From there select the boot tab and rearrange the boot menu order placing the disc drive to be the first to boot from. Then save changes and exit. You can also select boot from external media (USB boot) and place it in the order you desire such as after CD but before hard drive. Then insert your recovery CD and upon boot it should prompt you to press any key to boot from CD.
